Yesterday and today... Revival of my blog

I'm amazed that 2 whole years have zoomed past since the date when this Blog was started....

A quick recap... this blog was started for me to remember every steps that Kendrick and the girls have taken... then sometime last year, I wanted to include my baking journeys into this blog too....

Well, Ken is going to be 2 years old soon and.... I have to sheepishly admit, it has achieved none of these aims HAHAHA!

anyway, as I stumbled back upon the many pics of Ken yesterday, I made a resolution that from today onwards, I shall revive this blog.

And since it's going to be Ken's birthday soon, I shall kickoff with a message to my dear baby...

Dear Kendrick,

This is mummy's 1st love letter to you since such a long time...

You have grown... from a little baby struggling to breathe, struggling to be free from the tubes that's poking you, struggling to grow strong to a little toddler...

Do I remember your first step? Yes... I remember u trying to walk to catch the 2 jiejies but in the end, u decided that it was faster to leopard crawl to them. Gradually, you held on to my fingers and took small strides. I was so proud of your never say die spirit.

Do I remember your first word? Yes... you were not like your sisters whose first words were "Mama". For you, "Babababa" was the first word... however, no matter which word it is, I like your enthusiastic welcome everyday.... from the moment you wake till the moment I come home dragging my feet from work, you will stand at the door and scream with excitement "Mummy! Mummy!!!".

As I watched you last night, you were sitting at a corner with a Toy Story coloring book. You were not coloring. You were scribbling and as you scribbled away, you were telling me "Mummy mummy, Toy Story Toy Story".  You pointed to the Playhouse Disney Magazine and said "Disneyland Disneyland".

Yes boy, you have grown. from nothing, to "Baba Mama" to "Disneyland". I want to walk with you everyday and record all your little speeches.

I love you Baby Ken...

New Year resolutions

Tis the new year to be jolly... here goes some of my resolutions for the year. I sincerely pray that i'll be able to fulfill all these so that this will be a fulfilling and engaging year ahead!

Personal:
01. To commit to quiet time with God everyday.
02. To secure a promotion by the end of this year.
03. To ensure that my online business takes off making a $10,000 profit at the end of the year.
04. To have a healthy body and be in a gd mental state of health .
05. LEarn 1 more new skill this year which can help me to reap in more income... eg baking/computer skill etc.

Family:
01. To ensure that Giselle and Kaelynn will attend Sunday school at least twice a month to help them in spiritual growth.
02. To spend individual quality time with each kid once a month.
03. Send Giselle and kaelynn for 1 enrichment class.
04. To co own a family car with Kit by end of this year.
05. Encourage Kit to fulfill his resolution of being baptised this year.

It seems like i'll be asking for 10 items to be done in this whole year and a tad too impossible. However, all things are possible in God and I know that if I pray hard and work hard, things will happen....

Remember, "I am the vine and you are the branch..." John 15:1-2!

Although there will be some tough tough situations ahead, i must remember to bite the bullet and see that all these resolutions are fulfilled at the end of the year.

supper at TWG

after much insistence from my mother to celebrate her lunar birthday despite the fact that I'm really broke, we celebrated it at Sun with Moon @ Wheelock and followed by a supper @ TWG ION Orchard on Friday evening...

Total damage was huge. it means that I may have to fast for a few days...

anyway, here are some pics of the princesses enjoying their tea...

numb...

its amazing how i simply feel sometimes...

I just stone and dread sundays to come because we are just simply too poor to go out and also, have too many children to take care that we can't spend sunday proper.

Reasons:
1. Sundays are days which I finally get to sit down.. but as the ils are away also, the responsibility of taking care of the kids fall back on me.

2. even when we plan to go out, we just can't do so. too poor. with the man not having a job, we have no income. even going to the zoo is out of the thoughts.

3. the only day which the man has to do housework but will refuse to do.

my dream sunday is:

- i'll wake up in a garden full of posies,
- kids will wake in my arms with hugs and kisses
- breakfast (without us having to think of what to eat) will be served just after we wash up.
- we'll be running around in the park/ swimming together/going to some places of interest/ just walking around town with one another.

am i far away from this dream? it seems that it is really far... and that it's simply impossible.

sighzzz...i'm supposed to say i love sundays... but God i hate it.
